Leclerc reassures after 23G crash

Charles Leclerc has spoken publicly after the frightening accident suffered on lap two of the Monza Grand Prix, posting a message on Instagram to reassure fans about his condition. The Ferrari driver admitted the weekend was “not what he wanted” and explained that, while the physical impact was tough, the emotional blow of crashing at home in front of the tifosi hurt even more. Spanish outlet Marca reported comments from Dr. Isabel Ornaque, who revealed that the Parabolica crash generated a peak of 23G.

Leclerc later underwent a CT scan in Monaco to investigate the dizziness that followed the impact, but the examination showed no complications. Ferrari also confirmed that both power unit and chassis passed factory checks and will be available for the Madrid round without penalties. After thanking supporters for their warmth, Leclerc highlighted how special Monza feels with its fans, despite a weekend he hopes to quickly move past.
