Rins scores points for Yamaha as Quartararo struggles at Aragon

Yamaha left Aragon with only one rider in the points, as Alex Rins managed a solid top‑15 finish in his home Grand Prix while Fabio Quartararo endured another frustrating weekend. The Frenchman retired from the Sprint due to a technical issue and slipped to last on the opening lap of Sunday’s race after starting seventeenth. Although he briefly climbed toward the points, mistakes and time losses dropped him back to nineteenth before he recovered one position after Toprak Razgatlioglu’s crash.

Quartararo said early braking from a rival caused his rear to lock, triggering a sequence of errors that ruined his pace. Rins, also nearing his Yamaha exit, produced a more encouraging ride. Starting nineteenth, he climbed to thirteenth within six laps and held the position to the flag, attempting a late move on Joan Mir. He said the heat and race rhythm were demanding but felt he maximised Yamaha’s package on a challenging weekend.
