VR46 have officially renewed their partnership with Ducati through 2029, confirming the team will remain a Factory Supported outfit for the next three MotoGP seasons. The collaboration, launched in 2022, reached a turning point last year when VR46 fielded an official Desmosedici GP for the first time with Fabio Di Giannantonio. Although the Italian rider is expected to move toward KTM, the team will continue to run one factory‑spec machine with updates throughout the season, alongside a second bike in standard configuration.
Team Director Alessio “Uccio” Salucci hailed the extension as a major achievement, praising the squad’s stability and the trust shown by Ducati leadership, including Luigi Dall’Igna, Claudio Domenicali and Mauro Grassilli. He noted that the upcoming 2027 regulation changes will pose challenges, but VR46 feel prepared and ambitious. Dall’Igna echoed the sentiment, highlighting shared values and confidence that the strengthened alliance will deliver further success.
