Haas hasn’t had a great season this year in fact it might even be counted as their worst with disappointing constructors' championship points so far since 2016 when it had first started F1 racing. It would make sense if the team would like to change its current line up completely next year and thus the reason why they haven’t confirmed just yet, they have performed poorly in qualifiers and the final races both. Last year as well their campaign wasn’t great where the whole season they were fighting off technically hampered Ferrari power unit. 34-year-old Grosjean is practically a dead man walking and 28-year-old Magnussen might be able to convince the team otherwise so they may have some stability on their side. Other than them Haas can choose from Callum Ilott, Robert Shwartzman, Nikita Mazepin, Sergio Perez and Nico Hülkenber.
