10-man Madrid were defeated by Levante 2-1

Eder Militao was sent off in the 9th minute reducing the Real Madrid to 10 man army defending the La Liga title against Levante, who took advantage of their shorthandedness and won 2-1. Marco Asensio despite a setback at the start was able to push past keeper Aitor Fernandez to give Madrid a lead but they could not hold on to it as Levante came back from behind to strike an equalizer after half an hour with Jose Luis Morales putting his side level on the score.

Madrid then denied the chance to Levante to get ahead with Roger Marti's penalty being saved brilliantly by Courtois. He in the end took his revenge with a strike in 78th minute which put his side ahead and defeated the great Real Madrid, their first La Liga loss since November.
