10 matches left; Atletico, Barcelona and Real Madrid need to be perfect

At the start of the season till January Atletico enjoyed a dominating run at the top of the table in La Liga but February changed things for the leaders as Diego Simeone’s side dropped points left and right and let 11 points slip right past them in eight matches while earlier they dropped just 17 points in 19 games. Their invincible run then broke down as Barcelona and Real Madrid took advantage of it and moved up.

Though Atletico still enjoys a lead the margin of lead is smaller than before. The leaders had a 10 point lead once in the season and now are struggling to maintain their four-point lead over Barcelona and 6 points over Real Madrid, with 10 more matches remaining in the season, the Spanish League offers a thrilling race to its audience.
