A double goal by Benzema took Real Madrid to win

The 2 times net hit and an assist by Karim Benzema helped Real Madrid through a 3-1 win against Celta Vigo in Saturday’s match after which the gap in the race for the title of La Liga has closed. Since 2016, for the first time, Karim Benzema has scored in all competitions in six consecutive matches. In the 20th minute, Benzema made the shot in the bottom corner which gave Real Madrid the lead. A stoppage-time goal was scored by Marco Asensio.

Celta was headed back into the game by Santi Mina following a free-kick before the break while the hosts had improved in the 2nd half. The points for Madrid were wrapped up by Madrid after the stoppage time counter-attack when the exceptional display was made by Benzema by sending across to Marco Asensio to take the ball cross the line.
