English winger Demerai Gray, 25, joins Bayer Leverkusen. He had been on loan there from Leicester, on a contract that ends in June 2024, including an option for a fourth year. Gray had managed to score one goal in the total of 12 appearances with the German club last season. He is excited to be back in the league and playing with such a big club, Gray told the media. He further added that Everton is a big club and his main objective is to push and compete back up in the table.
On Sunday in the Florida Cup, Everton plays Colmbia’s Millionario’s. Arsenal and Inter Milan’s trip was also canceled at the last moment as they were also scheduled to play in the league. Rafa Benitez has come in as a new manager of the Everton team and they have also included forward player Andros Townsend and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
