Barcelona was eliminated from the Europa League after losing, this Thursday, at home to Eintracht Frankfurt by 3-2 in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League. The Catalans left the competition with an aggregate of 4-3, after the draw in the first leg in Frankfurt.
The Frankfurt emblem was winning by 3-0, after goals from Filip Kostic (2) and Santos Borré. It was only in added time that Barcelona reduced the deficit, first through Sergio Busquets and then Memphis Depay.
The match was refereed by the Portuguese Artur Soares Dias. In the Spanish league, despite a good recovery in recent matches, Barcelona (2nd) is 12 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
