AC Milan defeated Genoa and maintained its lead in Serie A

After defeating Genoa their Serie A opponents, AC Milan have retained their lead. Rafael Leao and Junior Messias had Milan’s back as they helped their side move back two points ahead of Inter Milan. The two teams, AC Milan and Inter Milan will face each other in the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-finals on Tuesday.

Milan led in the 11th minute when Pierre Kalulu shot a razzing cross from the right. They secured the result three minutes from time. Inter Milan has played a game less than AC Milan as they are still to play a postponed match with Bologna. Genoa is three points from safety. Before their play against Genoa, Milan was suffering from an injury crisis and struggling for goals. They managed to score only four goals in the previous seven games.
