According to sources, AC Milan is considering a move for David de Gea, the former custodian for Manchester United. After 545 appearances and an incredible 190 clean sheets for the Red Devils, De Gea said goodbye to United in the summer of 2023. The Spaniard left on a free transfer when manager Erik ten Hag declined to offer him a new contract, and Andre Onana eventually arrived.
It took the United great more than a year to find a new team after leaving Old Trafford after a particularly dismal season in goal. Fiorentina agreed to sign De Gea for a one-year contract before to the 2024–2025 season. The 34-year-old quickly established himself as a Florence fan favourite after finding his rhythm. De Gea has become the undisputed No 1 at Fiorentina, keeping an impressive 11 clean sheets in 33 Serie A appearances this term.
