After months in pursuit Inter moved to the top of the table

Inter bypassed AC Milan to top the Serie A table with one point after a 2-0 win over Fiorentina gave them the much-needed three points to overthrow AC Milan who had been at the top for months. Nicolo Barella, and Ivan Perisic’s goals put Inter ahead of Fiorentina. Though for how long they would enjoy the lead is hard to say as the city rivals will host Crotone soon.

Antonio Conte's side scored on either side of the half during the match, Barella first opened the score with a curling shot within half an hour later Achraf Hakimi set up Perisic in the second half to record a win in Florence for the first time in seven years. Fiorentina is 12th on the table and was without French midfielder Franck Ribery to support them. Goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski was made to work overtime as Inter did not stop taking a chance on the goal and were successful twice.
