António Salvador remembers founders of Sporting de Braga on their 101st birthday

At the flag-raising ceremony, in the club's sporting city, and before managers, employees, some athletes and coaches, António Salvador evoked the club's founders and also all the managers who, throughout the club's 101 years of history.

 “It is a story lived with passion, love, joy and emotion. Sporting de Braga is a club that represents a city, a region, a country, inside and outside, it is the greatest ambassador of this city”, said the ‘arsenalist’ leader.

António Salvador stressed that Sporting de Braga “is not just football”. “It is an inclusive club in all areas and in its social actions, a club that belongs to the members, the directors, current and past, the athletes present today and the many hundreds, or thousands, who are not here”, he said.

Sporting de Braga officially marks its birth on January 19, 1921.
