Argentines appoint Marcelo Bielsa as Uruguay's next coach

Despite the triumph against Ghana (2-0), Uruguay failed to qualify for the 'eighth' of the World Cup and Diego Alonso could lose his place to... Marcelo Bielsa.

The Argentine press advances with the strong possibility of Uruguay resorting to the former coach of Argentina and Chile to recover the good results, in information initially released by TyC Sports, due to the failure of Diego Alonso in charge of the celestial selection.

Current Uruguay coach has only played eight games in front of the team, having won only half of those duels, so the place could be even at risk, after the elimination in a group in which Portugal and South Korea qualified.

It should be remembered that, after his experiences in the Argentina and Chile national teams, Marcelo Bielsa guided clubs such as Athletic Bilbao, Olympique Marseille, Lazio, Lille and, more recently, Leeds United.
