Armando Izzo has admitted he regrets turning down Arsenal

The defender was a standout performer for Torino in the 2018–19 campaign, and many teams, including Arsenal, were interested in signing him. He had joined Torino in 2018, but he made the decision to stay. The defender is now on loan at Monza since he is no longer in Turin's good graces.

He now regrets his choice to remain put when Arsenal called. "The year I extended with Torino, after qualifying for Europe, my former agency and the president Urbano Cairo told me that Arsenal and Conte's Inter Milan were there," Izzo said to Cronache di Spogliatoio (via Sport Italia). I remained another year because I cared about Toro and thought the project will succeed. I had six goals that season but no teams contacted me. Chances don't always come your way in football, especially if you're growing older.
