Arsenal in the soup: Real Madrid want Odegaard back

In the January transfer window, Odegaard left Real Madrid. He wanted regular game time, something he was not getting at Real Madrid.

'Los Blancos' agreed to send him out on loan until June. Odegaard will remain at Arsenal until then.

Since he arrived, the Norwegian has won over manager Mikel Arteta. So much so that the Spaniard recently said that he will speak to Real Madrid at the end of the season about the possiblity of extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium.

But Arteta can forget about it. 'Marca' says that Real Madrid loaned him out making it very clear that he would he would return to the Bernabeu at the end of the season. They wanted him to get confidence and be on the pitch. So far he has managed to do both things.
