Arsenal keep their winning streak alive with Watford win

Arsenal are climbing the table slowly and steadily as with third back-to-back win to overcome their slow start to the season and claim the fifth place on the table. Emile Smith-Rowe found the back of the net once and that was all Arsenal needed to claim the three points with a 1-0 win over newly-promoted Watford at Emirates Stadium.

This was a historic day for the Gunners as it was Mikael Arteta's 100th league and cup game in charge. Arsenal missed the chance to get ahead earlier when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had missed a first-half penalty before that two goals were ruled out for offside, then came the winning Rowe’s shot from 18 metres away. Watford almost got their hands on the equalizer with Joshua King’s shot in the 86th but he was off his mark, later visitors also saw Juraj Kucka leave with a second yellow card and could not force a draw.
