Arsenal lost to Southampton 1-0

Arsenal has stumbled in their Champions League qualification quest after losing 1-0 English Premier League against Southampton. Tottenham lost to the Brighton 1-0 in Saturday's earlier clash giving Arsenal a great opportunity to level up on points with fourth-placed North London opponents. 

However, Arsenal has a game in hand where they will play against the Spurs. Mikel Arteta's men couldn’t make it at St Mary's as Jan Bednarek's strike on the stroke of half-time doomed them to the fourth loss from five games. Their most recent loss is an encouragement for top-fours hopefuls West Ham and Manchester United. The win for the Saints resulted in a five-match winless league run to encourage them for finishing in the top half of the table.  Also, Tottenham won 5 out of the six matches that they played.
