CEO of AS Roma FC, Tiago Pinto, has a keen interest in adding the Uzbek Eldor Shomurodov to the club and has begun inquiring with the Genoa officials regarding the player’s availability. Eldor, the 26-year-old forward player, has scored 8 goals during his first series A and Pinto likes him because of his versatility. Shomurodov will be able to play either as a supporting role or as number 9, or even on the wings.
According to Roma, Shomurodov would be compatible with Edin Dzeko being different from other strikers. Genoa has put the double price tag, 15 million euros, of what they paid to buy Rostov last year, on their player. They have also proposed to ask for a percentage of a future sale. Both the clubs might be able to get on with the deal easily with an initial loan with an option or obligation to buy.
