Aston Villa may consider selling Emiliano Buendia

Football Insider claims that Aston Villa may consider selling Emiliano Buendia before the January transfer market opens. With 18 months remaining on the Argentine playmaker's contract, the club may consider selling him to further alleviate their PSR problems and strengthen their financial position.

During the summer, Aston Villa had to sit back for extended periods of time with little activity, so a lot was going on in the background. Although a team of this size has high aspirations to contend for a Champions League spot, Villa did have a lacklustre transfer window. They were able to retain well-known names like Morgan Rogers and Emi Martinez, but they were unable to sell others. The first name that comes to mind is Emiliano Buendia, because the club prevented a late transfer to Leeds United.
