Aston Villa ready to sign Carlos from Sevilla for an undisclosed amount

Aston Villa is all set to rope in Sevilla's player Diego Carlos for their side. They have agreed on signing a contract with the 29-year-old Brazilian defender for an undisclosed fee. Carlos will travel to England to complete a medical and finalize personal terms. He was a part of Sevilla since 2019 and has been of great help to the club in three successive fourth-placed finishes in La Liga, as well as featuring in the successful Europa League-winning side of 2020. Incidentally, it was Carlos' shot that led to the winning goal against Inter Milan in the match after taking a deflection off Romelu Lukaku.

Moreover, Diego Carlos also represented his country at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Sevilla FC said that they would like to thank him for all his work for the team in these past few years and they wish him good luck in his new journey.
