West Ham wants to add attacking reinforcements this summer and has set its eyes on Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins. Among the list of transfer targets, the England international is at the top of the list, Watkins has scored 26 goals in 72 matches across the competition for the side ever since he joined Aston Villa in 2020 in a £33m deal with Brentford. In his time with Aston Villa, he earned a call-up to England squad as well under Gareth Southgate.
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard is open to selling Watkins this summer but the club could demand upwards of £50m for the forward which could deter Hammer from making a move. Hammers also have Armando Broja, Darwin Nunez, and Eddie Nketiah on their potential target list.
