After the 1-1 match against Milan at San Siro, Gasperini was told that Paris Saint-Germain had lost Mbappé to an injury during their Coupe de France Final against St Etienne.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know. Mbappé is a great guy, I hope it’s not serious,” Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia. “We don’t want to win due to the misfortunes of others. In fact, if you win against these types of players, your result means even more.”
It has not been confirmed that Mbappé will be out when Atalanta face PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League but he was seen on crutches after having been replaced by Pablo Sarabia.
