Jérémie Boga, a former Chelsea academy product, is likely to join Atalanta from Sassuolo in January, pending a physical and final signing. Boga has long been a fan of Atalanta, and the club attempted to sign him last summer. They're ready to get their man for €22 million (plus €2 million in bonuses).
Boga was also approached by Napoli and Shakhtar Donetsk, both of whom are managed by his previous agent, Roberto De Zerbi, but the 24-year-old was adamant on staying in Italy. Boga has 18 goals and 10 assists in 102 games for Sassuolo since signing from Chelsea in 2018. Chelsea had a €10-15 million buy-back clause at one point, but Sassuolo bought it out last year – possibly for as little as €6 million.
