Athletic Bilbao Beats Cadiz in the Spanish League

The athletic was supported by Inaki Williams and Unai Lopez who added a goal in each half while Alex Berenguer scored twice in the first half. The victory led the Basque Country club to the 10th position in the league standings.

It has been the third subsequent loss for Cadiz which dropped to 15th and stayed three points from the relegation zone. It is surviving a six-match winless streak that had it being outscored 19-5.

The club had been reenergized by athletic coach Marcelino Garcia Toral who had arrived at the beginning of the year and rested some regular starters, post a tough streak of matches in which it managed to win the Spanish Super Cup, while also qualifying for the Copa del Rey semifinals.
