Athletic Bilbao stay goalless against Levante

Athletic Bilbao could not return to winning ways in La Liga on Friday night. The Spaniards lost to Cadiz before the last break and needed to bounce back and Marcelino Garca Toral's side was held to a goalless draw by Levante. Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon kept Athletic Bilbao in the league with an extraordinary save on Friday. Simon’s efforts also saw hosts winless this season in the Spanish League, Levante was denied their best scoring chance in the 77th moment.

Bilbao’s offensive strike was also obstructed when Inigo Martinez went wide. Both sides had to fight the battle under heavy rain at the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium. Bilbao went a fourth game in succession without a triumph, yet the Basque Countryside is comfortable in the seventh spot.
