Atletico draw 0-0 against Villarreal

Atletico Madrid drew 0-0 to Villarreal in La Liga on Saturday. It was their second consecutive goalless draw. Though, Madrid started off the campaign exceptionally well but was unable to carry off forward smoothly.

After Luis Suarez's star performance from the bench in last week's 6-1 win over Granada, he had a quiet first home start this time. Atletico was playing really well and seemed like a threat until Uruguayan came off. He was further replaced by Diego Costa.

However, Costa came close to grab a late winner two times. But, he was not able to connect with fiery crosses from Yannick Carrasco. Undoubtedly, in an end-to-end finish, Villarreal also might have found a late goal. As forward, Gerard Moreno volleyed precisely wide.
