Atletico Madrid confirmed two corona positive cases

Two members that are due to travel to Lisbon have been confirmed corona positive on Sunday evening by Atletico Madrid. They were to attend the Champions League quarter-finals.

There has been no confirmation from the club with regards to whether the positives are among the players or the technical staff. The two positives had been confirmed because every member of the expedition to Lisbon had to undergo a PCR test for COVID-19 according to the UEFA protocol. The corona positive suspects have been kept under isolation in their respective homes. The positive tests had been communicated to the respective Portuguese and Spanish health authorities. The apt protocols for such a situation have been applied with a new round of PCR tests for everyone that is due to travel to Lisbon.
