Atletico Madrid pursue Lucas Torreira not Thomas Partey

The La Liga team is under negotiations with Arsenal for taking on Torreira for a season-long loan and make no headway with Thomas Partey. The midfielder has been a top priority at Mikel Arteta's departure list all summer, with no lucrative offer insight. Arteta was adamant they would not let go of the player unless his £45million release clause is met. The Uruguayan could prove worthwhile for Atletico Madrid as they are ready to meet Emirates needs. As Torreira proves burdensome at Arsenal was set to return to Serie A until Los Rojiblancos made their move but The Gunners feel disdain as they were hoping to sell both the players but no negotiation on Partey is a red flag for them.
