Atletico Madrid was beaten by Athletic Bilbao

Athletic Bilbao loss stirs trouble for Atletico Madrid who has now won just six of their last 14 league game while their free fall ended with Eibar and Huesca wins but it seems like it was short-lived. Their loss though bodes well for Barcelona as the La Liga title race just got more vicious. Bilbao defeated Madrid by 2-1 in a shocking match on Sunday and Madrid ended up dropping points while Barcelona climbed level on points with Real Madrid and stay two points below the leader.

Real Madrid also drew up with Betis on Saturday while Barcelona took advantage of both the team’s mess up and climbed the table by beating Villarreal by 2-1 with Antoine Griezmann's double. Sevilla also stays in the mix for the champions league spot by beating Granada by 2-1 and are just three points off the top and one behind Real Madrid.
