Azzurri set perfect 10 record

The Azzurri continued their 100 per cent record in the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with this evening’s 3-0 success in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was the Nazionale’s 10th win on the bounce between competitive matches and friendlies, the longest ever streak for this nation.

The previous record was nine victories, set by Vittorio Pozzo from 1938 to 1939, although that particular run did include lifting the 1938 World Cup.

Another record was equalled, that of nine wins in a single calendar year, previously also set in 1990, 1994, 2000 and 2003.

They can still make it a new record with Monday’s final Euro 2020 qualifier against Armenia.

Mancini’s total tally since taking over in May 2018 is now of 12 wins, four draws and two defeats.
