Bale’s hat-trick surprised Sheffield United

Tottenham  Hotspur stayed in the running for Champions League by beating almost relegated Sheffield United by 4-0 with Gareth Bale’s monstrous effort to pull the team forward by striking thrice against Sheffield. In Sunday’s Premier League match Bale finished with his first hattrick after 2012 and helped his side to a fifth-place finish in the league five points adrift of Chelsea and four matches left in the season.

Son Heung-min was also on the scoresheet. Ryan Mason's men took out their frustration against Blades who could not stop Bale who took his tally to eight goals in eight matches, Bale charged ahead with Harry Kane, Son, and Dele Alli after Jose Mourinho placed his faith in the player once more. Bale scored the first goal in the 36th minute and later scored the second goal of the match at 60th minute with Son setting him up and later pushed the third goal and Son ended the night by pushing one himself.
