Barca ask Koulibaly to be patient as Napoli demand 40 million

Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been on Barcelona's agenda and, according to 'AS', his interest has increased in recent days. Barca have got in contact with his agent to ask him not to rush into responding to the Italian club's renewal offer.

Koulibaly has a Napoli contract until 2023. That means that, unless he manages to renew, this summer will be their last great opportunity to cash in on his sale. Otherwise he would go for free in a year's time.

Napoli are looking to renew him at all costs. They have reportedly made him a renewal offer, 'AS' says, but they have not given a response.

Barcelona have place for him ahead of the 2022-23 season. In fact, their plan is to extend his contract until 2026 and, according to the cited source, they have recently got in contact with Koulibaly's agent to make it clear that they remain interested in him.
