Barça reach verbal agreement with Inigo Martinez

Barcelona continue their search for another defender in this transfer window. As well as signing Andreas Christensen, Xavi Hernandez's side need to bring in another defender for next season.

The main target is Jules Kounde. However, everything seems to indicate that the Sevilla player will end up at Chelsea in the next few days. Faced with this situation, Barça activated their backup and became interested in Inigo Martinez.

According to what 'Marca' reported, the Catalan side would be willing to make a significant offer to sign the Spanish international, who plays for Athletic Club.

Inigo's contract with the Bilbao club expires in mid-2023 and the board would be open to the possibility of selling him, if the defender has no intention of renewing his contract with the institution.
