Barca sporting director denies Guardiola return rumours

Barcelona are looking for a coach for the 2024/25 season. Xavi Hernandez has announced that he is stepping down on June and the board is now trying to find a coach on the market.

The Catalan side's fans are dreaming of Pep Guardiola's return as manager but it is unlikely that the current Manchester City boss will want to take the reins at his former club.

In fact, Barcelona sporting director Deco denied rumours of his arrival and admitted that they have not yet made contact with a coach with a current contract to replace Xavi.

"Pep is a great coach. There is no discussion about this. He was the coach of the best Barca in history. No doubt. And he has continued to win away. He is the best in the world now," he told 'Esport3'.
