Barcelona agrees on personal terms with Alvaro Mortata

In the January transfer window, Alvaro Morata is getting closer to joining Barcelona. The 29-year-old Spanish international has reached an agreement with the Blaugrana on personal terms, leaving the trade to be approved by Juventus and Atletico Madrid. Alvaro Morata is currently on loan at Juventus, having returned to the Serie A club in September 2020 after a loan spell at Atletico Madrid. However, in the last 15 months, the player has gone through ups and downs, with his troubles mirroring those of the Bianconeri in the half-season he has been back in Turin.

This season has been no different, with the 29-year-old scoring only seven goals and providing three assists in 23 appearances across all competitions. Despite his difficulties, Morata remains a sought-after player in the transfer market, with Barcelona interested in signing the Spaniard in January.
