Barcelona and Eibar hold each other back

In a shocking turn of events Barcelona drew 1-1 on Tuesday against Eibar in the Spanish League at Camp Nou. Barca was without Lionel Messi in their home match who was resting due to an ankle injury. Eibar went ahead when Kike Garcia scored in the 57 minute in the second half.

Barcelona on the other hand missed out on getting an early lead when Martin Braithwaite missed out on scoring in the 8th minute but Ousmane Dembele scored for them in the 67th minute to secure a point for Barca as their hope for a title took a step back while they sit sixth on the table with a gap of seven points between them and Atletico Madrid. Eibar on the other hand sits 15th on the table. In other league matches, Sevilla defeats Villarreal 2-0, Cádiz and Real Valladolid ended in a goalless draw, Levante beat Real Betis 4-3.
