Barcelona and Ilkay Gundogan involved in negotiations

In spite of their financial difficulties, the Catalan giants are aiming to strengthen their lineup for the next season. Ilkay Gundogan has been identified as a possible target. The summer is when Gundogan's current deal with City expires. Also, there aren't any discussions for a renewal at this moment. Several teams are monitoring the situation because the German international is expected to become a free agency in a few months. The 32-year-old transferred from Borussia Dortmund to the Manchester-based team in the summer of 2016. And ever since he joined the blue team, he has only become stronger. In the 290 matches the German international has played in he has scored 90 goals for the side. Barcelona would have a tough time getting the players signature with many teams circling to get his attention.
