Barcelona is interested in signing PSG attacking midfielder Julian Draxler, who will be able to leave the club during the January transfer window. Draxler has been with Paris Saint-Germain for nearly five years, having joined from VfL Wolfsburg in January 2017. However, the 28-year-old has never been able to secure a starting spot in Les Parisiens' star-studded lineup. He has played 188 times for the French giants, scoring 26 goals and assisting on another 41.
In May of this year, Draxler signed a new contract with PSG, extending his tenure at the club until 2024. Mauricio Pochettino's plans, however, do not include him, as evidenced by the fact that he has only started four Ligue 1 matches so far this season. Barcelona has surfaced as a potential suitor for the German international, who is 28 years old. The Catalans are looking for help in the last third, where they have failed to score goals this season.
