Barcelona want former Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga

The meeting is said to have taken place this week in Milan - where the Blaugrana player Inter in the Champions League - with Sassuolo sporting director Giovanni Carnevali present along with Barça vice president Jordi Cardoner and CEO Óscar Grau.

Boga joined Sassuolo from Chelsea in the summer of 2018, having been unable to establish himself at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old has starred for the Serie A club this season and has netted four goals, while Chelsea have a €4m option to buy him back, which may yet be exercised.

However, the Frenchman - who spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Spanish club Granada - played just one match across three seasons for the English club.

Boga could be viewed as an affordable market option for the Catalan giants to boost their squad.
