Barcelona's team for the 2024–2025 season is the youngest in La Liga

Barcelona has had a fantastic start to the season, winning their first four La Liga games to guarantee a four-point advantage over the rest of the group so early in the season. Hansi Flick's team has been excellent so far in the season, and some of the statistics make it even more amazing. The most noteworthy is that, with an average age of 24.1, Barcelona's team is the youngest in La Liga. Real Madrid (26.5) and Atletico Madrid (28.1) are in eighth and nineteenth place, respectively, while Real Sociedad and Valencia (both 25) round out the podium. Rayo Vallecano has the oldest average age (29.3) of any team.

Barcelona has thus depended on three 17-year-olds: Marc Bernal, who is now expected to miss the rest of the season, Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsi. It will be interesting to watch how successful Barcelona's mix of youth and experience is this season.
