Bayern Munich edged past Dynamo Kyiv 2-1 despite being without dozens of players due to the Covid-19 quarantine in their Champions League Group E matchup. Robert Lewandowski put one in the Dinamo Kiev’s net in a spectacular fashion to boost Bayern to the last 16 stages with one game left to spare. Surrounded by heavy snowfall after Lewandowski’s strike Kingsley Coman doubled the lead win three minutes from halftime.
The loss has eliminated Dynamo from the competition as well despite Denys Garmash’s goal that cut the lead in half 20 minutes to time and later the side also saw a stoppage-time leveler being saved by Manuel Neuer. Bayern has successfully made a comeback from the 2-1 loss to Augsburg in their domestic league to top the group on 15 points.
