Bayern Munich 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach

Julian Nagelsmann’s squad leveled the score with Borussia Monchengladbach opening its competitive reign in the 2021/2022 Bundesliga season at Borussia Park. Bayern Munich given its continued history of player injuries was not a celebrative opponent to tie for the Adi Hutter’s boys catering to shortcomings from both sides in the game.

The 1-1 draw was the result of Goals from Alassane Plea and Robert Lewandowski of opposite ends surrounded by neutral spectators filling the North Rhine-Westphalia. Nagelsmann positioned Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Dayot Upamecano, and Manuel Neuer wisely against Borussia’s Lars Stindl and others after Plea’s goal in the 1v1 chance. There was heat between Marcus Thuram and Upamecanon in the 81st minute, quickly extinguished followed by penalty claims by Gladbach which was consistent throughout the match with nothing given, favoring Bayern. Yet with no leading win for both sides, was quite an opening for the anticipated Bundesliga.
