Two second-half goals shot under three minutes, including a stunning chip from Leroy Sane, pushed Bayern Munich to triumph over Barcelona 2-0 on Robert Lewandowski's return to Bavaria in the Champions League. Bayern's Frenchdefender Lucas Hernandez went in a corner to open the scoring, but it was Sane who propelled the game towards the victory for the home side. Former Manchester City forward Sane helped transform the match, which was originally looking well in Barca's favour after a fiery opening half.
The German attacker scored Bayern's second in 54 minutes, shooting a ball over Catalan keeper Marc Andre ter Stegen, just three minutes after Bayern's Hernandez headed in a corner from Joshua Kimmich to open the scoring.
"I think for Lewy it was really an emotional game to come back - a little bit like coming home, because he was so successful here," stated Bayern captain Manuel Neuer.
