Bayern Munich demolished Dortmund to take top spot in the Bundesliga

Order was restored in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening as Bayern Munich pumped Borussia Dortmund 5-0 in Der Klassiker to leapfrog them at the top of the table. Dortmund came into the game two points ahead of the Bavarians, but Bayern were in no mood to play games.

Former Dortmund stars Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski had the reigning champions ahead inside 20 minutes.

Javi Martìnez made it three after 41 minutes and there was still time for Serge Gnabry to give Bayern a 4-0 lead at the break.

That seemed to be how the score would stay until Lewandowski rubbed some more salt in the wounds by making it five in the 89th minute. Niko Kovac's side now pull clear as leaders as they go in search of yet another title.
