Bayern Munich made a significant change to the goalkeeping department

Yann Sommer was acquired by Bayern from Borussia Monchengladbach when Manuel Neuer was declared sidelined for the remainder of the season. The Swiss goalkeeper committed to Die Roten until the conclusion of the 2024–25 season. Alexander Nubel was on loan at Monaco, and Rekordmeister attempted to get him back before making a move for Sommer. The former Schalke goalkeeper wants to finish the season in Ligue 1. Monaco also wished to support Nubel through the remainder of the season.

In the summer, Nubel is anticipated to visit Bavaria to discuss his future with Die Roten. His contract presently has two years left. Bayern wants to give Nubel a longer deal, but he won't sign it unless he gets more playing time. If Die Roten are unable to guarantee him regular playing time, he will be willing to permanently leave the team.
