Local rivals Torino came back to secure a fair 1-1 draw in the Turin derby, severely denting Juventus' fading Serie A title aspirations. Matthijs de Ligt's early header was canceled out by an Andrea Belotti strike in the second half, leaving Juve fourth in the table with 47 points after 26 games, eight points behind leaders AC Milan, who host bottom side Salernitana earlier.
Torino got off to a better start, dominating the first ten minutes before Adrien Rabiot had the finest chance at the opposite end on a counterattack. When he only had goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to beat, the French midfielder blasted just wide of the far post. De Ligt then scored in the 13th minute, heading a corner past Milinkovic-Savic at the near post. The goal was the Dutch defender's second in the league this season.
