Benítez: "They offered 50,000 euros to me and other people to lose the game"

Aday Benítez, a former Girona player, among other teams, confessed that they tried to bribe him, in addition to pointing out other meetings in which he suspects that there was manipulation of results.

A revelation made by the game in statements to the Spanish radio station Cadena SER. “They offered me €50,000, me and other people, so that we would miss a meeting. It was absurd to accept that, because that year we were promoted to the First Division and there was one game left for the championship to end", he said.

The method is simple. “They contact a player, who assumes the role of liaison with figures they trust in the locker room, and all they have to do is convince a goalkeeper, a central defender and a striker”, he confessed.

Experiences like this also in Tenerife. “Another situation that I cannot prove, but which I suspect", he concluded.
