Goalkeeper Matt Turner completes a move to the Emirates with a £5.8m deal. The 27-year-old took part in United States’ World Cup qualifier against El Salvador. USA mentor Gregg Berhalter confirmed the move, and complete the move mid-year. The American would be leaving the Gilette Stadium to join up with Gunners at Emirates stadium after USA's triumph over El Salvador.
Turner has been part of the Major League Soccer side New England Revolution since 2016 before that he played for Jersey Express. Turner’s late spring appearance would mean it is time for Bernd Leno to leave Emirates Stadium in search of playing time after being usurped as No 1 by Aaron Ramsdale. The German still has one year left in his contract with Bayer Leverkusen and Premier League outfit Newcastle keeping an eye on his movements.
