Arminia Bielefeld moved out of the bottom three-zone with a crucial win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga match. Patrick Wimmer was the real star of the match, motivating the players with his goal and a remarkable rabona to help Bielefeld with three points. Bielefeld welcomed back Wimmer and Filip Kostic to the squad after battling coronavirus infection. The Austrian then found an opener in the eighth minute first when he headed a loose ball low beyond home goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
Later the 20-year-old was at his best with a sublime assist in the second Bielefeld goal. Looking for space on the right of the box, Wimmer put across from behind his standing leg to Alessandro Schof who chested it in at the near post and put it past the goalkeeper expertly. Frankfurt came close to scoring once as well but Jesper Lindstrom went off the target and otherwise, the team struggled to create chances.
